Provides legal advice to parents of children with special needs. Much of their work involves guiding parents through the maze of statutory assessment and statementing. They deal with appeals to the special educational needs tribunal and advise parents on the appropriate evidence that is needed to bring a successful appeal. They advise parents on how to improve the special needs provision within the school and on obtaining residential placements, often in independent, out of county schools. Turner's Solicitors also assist parent in getting the right community care provision at home, so their family and other children can have a break from the responsibilities of caring.
