The service provides proactive, nurturing support provided to females with complex needs including challenging behaviours. Success is achieved in providing stability in the lives of residents with a good sense of security. High levels of experienced staff support are in place with emphasis on Person Centred Planning and Health Action Planning. Day services are coordinated on an individual basis with access to a range of resources including the local college. Staff within the home receive a variety of intensive training opportunities, all with access to the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) training and specialist training focused on the needs of the residents living in the home - a major focus of training is to maximise communication and skill levels in all areas of the residents' life using a Person Centred approach. Ty Gorsaf is a supported living scheme which provides support for both genders from the age of 18 to 65 years old.
