Ty Hendy is an innovative service at the forefront of developing best practice. Through the implementation of best practice design principles and ideas developed by the Iris Murdock Centre at internationally renowned Stirling University, Ty Hendy provides an environment that aids orientation and supports individuals towards greater levels of independence. Ty Hendy was established in 2011 and has been successful in creating a resource where the environment and staff skills are entirely focused on delivering outcome focused, person-centered support for people with a learning disability and dementia. Ty Hendy employs a highly skilled support team who are experienced at supporting individuals who have a learning disability and a form of dementia.
