Understanding Autism North West

Understanding Autism North West is a registered charity (No: 1176215) offering a therapeutic service for individuals and family members who are affected by Asperger syndrome and high functioning autism. Therapy is provided by experienced and knowledgeable British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered counsellors, who have both professional and personal experience of living with the differences presented by autism, and who welcome the opportunity to share their knowledge and understanding with clients in a confidential and therapeutic environment. Referral forms can be downloaded from the Understanding Autism North West website.
Counselling is offered to individuals, families and couples and common difficulties/therapies that can be addressed/offered are anxiety, depression, obsessional behaviour, relaxation techniques, anger management, relationship difficulties and mental health issues.
