The name of the unit for children with special needs including autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) is the Strategic Resource. Pupils with ASD are here through parental choice or by direction through Local Authority (LA) through their statement of special educational needs (SEN). Children are educated in mainstream classes or in groups with other pupils with ASD or in mixed groups according to individual needs. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Respite services are just for their own pupils.
