Volunteering Matters

Main information

Type of service: Employment services, Supported living schemes, Befriending/mentoring

Volunteering Matters (formerly CSV), established in 1962 is the UK's largest volunteering and training charity. Full time volunteering is a nationwide service and offers full time volunteers aged 18-35, who provide 35 hours a week of flexible volunteering to individuals, families and organisations. In return we ask that host individuals, families or organisations provide the volunteers with a weekly subsistence allowance, basic accommodation and travel costs. Our full time volunteers are recruited in the UK and internationally; carefully selected and matched to you, your family or organisation's needs. Our volunteers help in a wide range of settings - including schools and colleges, day centres, emergency night shelters, social services teams, outdoor education centres, mentoring and befriending schemes, environmental projects, and many others. We have a network of staff in local offices so we can offer the reassurance of being a large organisation as well as a local and personal service. .
