Type of service: Respite and short breaks

Family link schemes are run to provide regular short breaks to children with disabilities including children with learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities. Warwickshire Family Link offers a short break service for children and their families living in Warwickshire, comprising of a monthly overnight or weekend stay with Family Link Foster Carers. The service is designed to be long-term as foster carers and children are matched and time is spent on introductions. All referrals must come after an assessment by a Social Worker from one of the three Integrated Disability Teams which cover Warwickshire.
