Type of service: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Interventions and therapies
CAMH Service for people aged up to 19 in Cheshire West and Chester. The service is provided via locally based teams, who offer, following assessment, intervention based on what the issues are and what the young people and families want to gain. This intervention will be from a broad range of therapeutic practices, consultation and advice. The local teams are: .
- 0-16 Team (including Winsford).
- 16-19 Team.
- Learning Disability CAMHS Team, up to age 16.
- Looked After Children Team.
- Primary Mental Health Workers (community-based mental health support for children and young people up to the age of 16 who are experiencing mild mental health difficulties).
- DAAT (Drug and Alcohol Action Team) Partnership.
- Youth Offending Service (a specialist mental health worker provides focused intervention and support for young people who are currently within the criminal justice system).
