West London Community College is a small, independent college catering for the specific and complex needs of adults with autism or Asperger syndrome. The curriculum is designed to increase the level of independence of the students. To accomplish this, the college provides high quality learning programmes in a safe and comfortable learning environment that fall into four main domains: academic skills (eg Information and communications technology (ICT), literacy, numeracy); life skills (eg cookery, housekeeping, money management); vocational skills (eg work placement, interview skills, creative skills); and well being skills (eg relaxation, fitness). The college offers the opportunity for all its students to reach their full potential by formulating individual learning plans with a multidisciplinary approach. A behavioural support service is also offered to all students.
