The service works with children and young adults with
various needs including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and challenging behaviours, using counselling
skills and behaviour modification programmes. It provides support and advise
for parents and carers. It provides continuing professional development (CPD)
for other professionals. It works with children and young adults with ASD,
ADHD, moderate learning disabilities (MLD) and social, emotional and
behavioural difficulties (SEBD). Professional bodies belong to: Department for
Education and Employment (DFEE), British Pharmacological Society (BPS), The
National Autistic Society (NAS) and National Union of Teachers (NUT). The service
provides: independent expert reports; and makes home visits..
