Whittuck, Dora
Main information
Type of service: Diagnostic services, Diagnosticians
I offer comprehensive diagnostic assessments of autism and learning disability for teenagers and adults. I also offer psychological assessment of mental health problems and other associated needs. I can provide personalised support and treatment, where appropriate. I have close links with colleagues in occupational therapy and speech and language, and can offer multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention where necessary. I work in the National Health Service (NHS) for part of my working week and have good links with statutory services in London. I have extensive experience in providing assessments for the courts as an expert witness, and specialise in complex assessment of autism in adults.
Assessment procedure: I usually conduct a screening assessment on the telephone to decide if a full assessment would be useful/appropriate and talk through the different available options. The full assessment procedure depends on the individual need and is tailored to the specific referral request.
Follow up service: I offer ongoing psychological support and treatment when necessary.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes: clinical psychology; occupational therapy; speech and language therapy.
