Woodlands is a primary school for children with severe and complex learning difficulties and autism. The school is physically adjoined to Camrose School a mainstream school, which offers opportunities for inclusion work. The school is recognised as an excellent educational provision and this is evidenced by LA requests for continued expansion to expand the capacity to make 19 classes (about 120 places) by September 2016. The school has specialist resources to support the pupils' development including a hydrotherapy pool, soft play room, sensory studio, and library and music therapy room. As part of the expansion process school will gain an additional sensory room, sensory integration room, and an additional sports' hall. The service includes 45% or more service users with autism. Extra Curriculum offered by the school are Community visits and school trips, life skills, rebound therapy, swimming, horse riding, Forest School, and various clubs..
