Main information

Type of service: Play and leisure, Respite and short breaks, Befriending/mentoring

Youth-Link (Dundee) is a local not for profit voluntary organisation based in Dundee, Scotland. The One-to-One befriending project offers the friendship and support of trained, vetted and disclosure checked adult volunteers to local children and young people (aged 5-18) who have been referred because they are experiencing difficulties within their lives. The volunteers and children enjoy activities together weekly or fortnightly. These outings give the children the opportunity to have fun and enjoy new experiences, as well as allowing them to discuss any problems or difficulties they may be having. Kids Unlimited offers group activities for children aged 9-13 years who are living in a Dundee household where a family member suffers from ill-health or disability. These children often take on the role of carer at home and therefore can miss out on the things that other children do. Any type of referral accepted for One to One and Kids Unlimited.
