This is a day and residential school for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) aged between 3 to 19 years. The pupils attending the school are either fully statemented or in the process of being statemented, and have a wide spectrum of additional learning needs. Many pupils either have a diagnosis of autism or an autism spectrum disorder. The school works with Conwy Local Authority (LA) to provide a full range of services for pupils with autism within the county, from full inclusion through to specialist support and curriculum during and in addition to the school day. The school uses the Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low arousal, Links (SPELL) framework along with other methods to support the pupils.
