I have 4 years of experience working with autism. At the moment I am working as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapist in Edinburgh under the supervision of Keys for learning. Where appropriate I use play therapy and/or art therapy. I am looking into Developmental Individual-difference Relationship-based model (DIR) Floortime. My experience include working with autistic children in different settings - home, residential school, nursery, academy and at Children's panel. I used to respite fostered a boy with autism. My training includes - Postgrad in Autism, Certificate in Counselling skills, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children (TEACCH), Boardmaker, Social Stories and Paediatric First Aid. The service provides: makes home visits, visit a client's nursery school or college and attend tribunals/educational appeal committees.
