NAS Scotland Community Outreach Service (South)

Multiple providers

Main information

Type of service: Outreach

Our community outreach service is for young people and adults with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The service offers many forms of support to people in the community, at home, or both. Community support practitioners can also work with people with an ASD who attend college or university. The overall aim of our service is to increase people's life skills and confidence, and make sure that they can take part in the everyday life of their community. The support we offer is based on individual people's needs and wishes - we develop person-centred plans and review them regularly. As consistency is important for people with an ASD, our team will make sure that any changes in support are agreed with each person and are beneficial. The service accepts all types of referrals but the client must have a diagnosis of an ASD.
