Amaze offers information, advice and support to children and young people (0-25 years) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their parents/carers, mostly in Brighton and Hove but some services across Sussex. We are the special educational needs and disability information, advice and support service (SENDIASS) service for Brighton and Hove and offer a telephone helpline; an informative website and other publications; courses, workshops groups and events; one to one support particularly on education issues and disability benefits (Disability Living Allowance and Personal Independence Payment) (DLA and PIP). Amazing Futures is a peer support project for young people with SEND in Brighton and Hove. Amaze Face to Face is a befriending service for parent carers in Brighton and Hove. Amaze maintains The Compass, a database of disabled children for both Brighton and Hove and West Sussex. This is linked to the Compass Card, a free leisure incentive card providing 150 free and discounted offers at venues including swimming pools, gyms, theatres, cinemas, farms and soft play. Amaze provides independent support for Brighton and Hove, East and West Sussex which offer young people and parents support with the Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process. Amaze hosts the parent carers forum for Brighton and Hove giving parent and carers a collective voice in the city..
