In information-based service for anyone who has a query relating to learning disability. We can help with all kinds of enquiries including: clubs and groups in your area; holidays and leisure; Direct Payments; funding/grants; Special Educational Needs; wills and trusts; welfare benefits and much more. If we cannot answer a query we will signpost to another agency that can. We work with parents/carers and hold information sessions on any number of subject matters, depending on what is current. We have close links with parent representatives and feed into local authority planning meetings any issues/concerns that parent/carers may have and also identify gaps within service provision. We have two Family Advisors: a Children's Information Officer for families with children up to 18 years of age who have a learning disability and a Family Advisor for families with individuals who have a learning disability and are 18 years of age and over.
