Crossroads Care North Somerset
Main information
Type of service: Family support and information services
We help carers in North Somerset. We are affiliated to the Crossroads Care Association, a national charity set up to assist and support carers across England and Wales. A carer is someone who, without payment provides help and support to a partner, child, relative, friend or neighbour who could not manage without their help. This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, disability or addiction. Caring is an enormous gift to someone that you are close to but it does mean that you are in a situation which can be continuously stressful. We provide vital support to all types of carers across North Somerset. Our services range from carer's assessments (FISS), practical support at home and a day respite centre to give carers a much-needed break. There is also a service for the families of disabled children and a dedicated Young Carers team offering support to children aged from 5 - 18. If we can help in anyway please give Carers Support Services a call on (01934) 411840.
