My Way - Activity Taster Sessions
Main information
Type of service: Play and leisure
MyWay is a small local voluntary organisation based in North Somerset whose purpose is to add choice and colour to the lives of young people (aged 18- 25) with disabilities and complex needs by offering a programme of leisure activities in a safe, friendly and fun environment. We recognise that many young people with complex needs become increasingly isolated after leaving school or college because the majority have limited opportunities to develop new interests, meet new people and make new friends. For people with severe disabilities this can be particularly difficult due to a lack of accessible facilities and appropriate support. The majority of the activities designed by My Way will be fully inclusive and staff will be tailored to provide appropriate support to everyone who would like to attend. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to lead a full, interesting, less segregated and enjoyable life! Please contact us for any information on what activities we provide or see our "activity taster session flyer" on the website. My Way has been founded and is managed by a very small group of parent carers and interested parties who volunteer their time to make a difference to the lives of young adults in North Somerset.
