Melody

Main information

Type of service: Play and leisure

Melody is a Birmingham-based charity and has been established since 1994. It is an inclusive, collaborative organisation which is dedicated to the promotion of instrumental teaching for people with learning disabilities. Since it began, Melody has been dedicated to finding ways in which to help such musicians learn to play and read music, as well as to highlight new research into music and disabilities. Melody also runs a group called Melody Music Birmingham (MMB), which is a music club for young people with disabilities. The meetings take place in the Birmingham Conservatoire every Monday evening. The new MMB term will start on Monday 13th April 2015, in the New Lecture Theatre of Birmingham Conservatoire. MMB now has a waiting list. Please get in touch via the "Contact Us" page on our website at http://www.melodymusic.org.uk/# if you are interested in a space.
