Oaklands is a seven-bedroom detached property located in a quiet residential area of Bedford. The service is a 5 minute walk from local shops and a 15 - 20 minute walk from the town centre. Oaklands is registered with the Care Quality Commission and supported people with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions or similar needs requiring structured specialist support. We use SPELL plans, TEACHH principles and a range of sensory and communication tools to promote independence. The NAS accreditation team noted "a genuine interest in autism and evidence of knowledge of autistic spectrum conditions".

Oaklands Road is managed by Community Care Solutions, part of the Care Solutions Group, and owned by Lifeways, the biggest national provider of supported living services. Oaklands Road holds NAS accreditation for Quality Autism provision.
