The Renfrewshire Learning Disability Service (RLDS) offers a diagnostic service to adults over the age of 18 who have a learning disability and suspected ASD, living in the West Renfrewshire area.
Assessment procedure: Individuals are seen initially for screening by two members of staff. Further assessment is carried out thereafter if required, including psychometric testing, DISCO, interviews with parents/carers and observations etc.
Follow up service: Follow-up services may be provided via our Local Autism Co-ordinator, who can arrange post-diagnostic groups. Individuals may be directed to additional RLDS input.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes - Clinical Psychology, Nursing, Speech and Language therapy.
