Tettenhall Wood School Outreach Services offers support to mainstream and specialist settings across Wolverhampton working with pupils that have a diagnosis of Autism. As Wolverhampton Local Authority's designated special school for children with Autism, Tettenhall Wood School staff has developed specialist knowledge and skills on order to meet a complex range of needs. Through sharing specialist knowledge, the Outreach Service aims to enable schools to support pupils on the autism spectrum in overcoming barriers to learning and in doing so, build capacity for future success. Support is accessed by schools through referrals for individual pupils and requests for training. The Outreach Service also provides an annual training programme for professionals.
