NAS West Berkshire Befriending

Main information

Befrienders spend a couple of hours a week with a person with an autistic spectrum disorder or their family. We match volunteer befrienders according to their shared interests and preferences. A befriender might be an extra pair of hands on a family outing, or might take a child out to a park or for a walk; take a teenager to see a film; spend time talking to a member of the family, or offer the family a short break by spending time with a child in the home. Volunteers can also befriend a sibling.
