Dr Carole Buckley is a retired GP and is the Royal College of General Practitioners clinical representative for autism. Carole has an autistic son and was involved in creating the autism toolkit for healthcare professionals.
Carole kindly agreed to be interviewed when she attended the National Autistic Society Professional Conference in 2019.
In this video Carole discusses NHS England’s decision to make autism a clinical priority and how healthcare can be made more accessible to autistic people. Carole also discusses the Autism Act and how autism diagnosis pathways can be improved.
